What is PD?
PD stands for Plastic and Beverage Carton. PD is a type of waste that is easy to recycle and is therefore very valuable to offer separately. Many catering establishments have a PD container for collecting plastic bottles, and beverage containers, but more and more offices and stores are also separating PD from residual waste.
P: empty plastic bottles (HDPE or PET) of e.g. (distilled) water, milk, soft drinks and cleaning products.
D: empty beverage cartons of e.g. fruit juices, milk and wine.
NOTE: PD waste must be collected in transparent bags. After collection, the waste will be inspected.

Empty your wheelie bin
Sometimes you unexpectedly have more waste than usual and it takes a while for the roll-off container to be emptied. If so, simply request an extra emptying and we will come by one more time.
To separate waste is to save
Sorting business waste at the waste management facility takes a lot of time and money. Separating your business waste saves the environment and you can also save costs. Check out the other waste types and start separating waste too.
Why rent a PD wheelie bin?
Plastic and Beverage Cartons are usually thrown in the residual waste. That's a shame, because these types of waste can be well recycled. If you like to contribute to a better environment or find it important to make your business more sustainable, it makes sense to separate PD waste.
Currently, it is still relatively expensive for waste collectors to collect PD. The government is working on a fee, which could make this cheaper. And the more companies have PD collected, the cheaper it will eventually become to process it. This is the case with paper and cardboard, for example.
